Client & Environment Focus

2023 - Present

Operational roles across two very different environments, both requiring precision, discretion and adaptability. In Japan, leading vehicle movements for a private alpine chalet in severe winter conditions. In Monaco, working as part of the tender crew at the Monaco Yacht Show, supporting guest transfers and on-water operations for superyacht clients.

Both roles demand consistent decision-making under pressure, with a strong focus on safety, timing and guest experience.

overview

JAPAN — PRIVATE ALPINE experience

Worked within a high end private chalet environment supporting ultra-high-net-worth guests, some with additional security requirements. Responsible for leading a drive team of seven, while coordinating vehicle movements across a wider team of nearly thirty staff.

The driving operation was rebuilt ahead of the season. This included sourcing equipment, setting up communication systems and delivering training across both the driving team and wider staff.

Conditions were consistently challenging. Snow, ice, low visibility and wind were standard, combined with narrow and often congested mountain routes. The vehicle fleet varied significantly, including vehicles not suited to winter conditions, which required careful planning and controlled driving at all times.

Daily operations required full flexibility. Guests expected vehicles to be available within a minute of request, meaning all movements had to be planned in advance while adapting constantly in real time. Vehicle allocation, driver consistency and guest preference all had to be managed simultaneously.

MONACO Yacht show

Annual role supporting the Monaco Yacht Show as part of the tender crew, working on one of the lead VIP tenders throughout the event.

The role is fully guest-facing. Responsibilities include docking, assisting guests on and off, handling lines and fenders, and ensuring each transfer is smooth and controlled despite busy port conditions. Clients include superyacht owners, buyers, designers and other high-profile individuals.

Work also includes demonstration runs for prospective buyers, requiring confidence on the water and the ability to represent the product clearly.

Pre-show responsibilities include vessel preparation, stocking and permit management. Post-show involves full close-down and debrief. As a returning senior seasonal crew member, there is also an expectation to support the wider team and maintain consistency across the operation.
